COPFS makes access to buildings a priority. If you have mobility needs, and are involved in a court case, please contact us and we will make arrangements for you.
Access at court
We send a citation document to every person who has to appear at court. The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service website provides detailed information about accessibility at the court you will attend.
Access at COPFS buildings
If you are involved in a case we may ask you to come to a COPFS building, for example for a precognition interview or to view your witness statement.
There is accessibility information for each of our offices available online.
Travelling costs
Victims and witnesses with mobility needs may be able to claim back the cost of taxis to and from court. You must ask COPFS to agree this beforehand. Please keep the receipts and include them when you submit your expenses form. Your expenses form is included with your witness citation - the letter telling you when to attend court.
