Children and young people
Children under 16 years old, and young people aged 16 to 17, get special support if they have to attend court to give evidence.

Vulnerable victims and witnesses (special measures)
The court automatically treats some victims and witnesses as vulnerable. If someone is vulnerable they can receive extra support when they give evidence.

People with mobility needs
COPFS makes disabled access a priority. If you have mobility needs, and are involved in a court case, please contact us and we will make arrangements for you.

People with learning disabilities
Guidance for carers of persons who have a learning disability and are involved in a case as a victim or witness.

COPFS makes sure that everyone involved in a case can understand and communicate with the court.
