This policy applies when considering whether a child (i.e. an individual under the age of 18 at the date of report to COPFS) who has been reported to COPFS for rape or other solemn level sexual offending should be offered diversion or referred to the Principal Reporter at the Scottish Children’s Report Administration. The document is for staff to follow when involved in the preparation of these cases and for information for the public.
